Our Mission
The Montclair Jewish Community Relations Council (MJCRC) serves as the civic voice of the Jewish community of Montclair, NJ and surrounding areas. We work to strengthen Jewish community bonds, address antisemitism, and promote our community's contributions to the broader civic life of our region.
Rooted in the values of pluralism, civil rights, and mutual responsibility, we engage with government officials, interfaith partners, and community organizations to advance justice and dignity for all.
Our Vision
We envision a Montclair where Jewish community members are fully engaged civic participants — bringing Jewish values to bear on the shared challenges and opportunities of our diverse community.
We believe that a strong Jewish community is an asset to all of Montclair, and that our community's safety and flourishing are inseparable from the safety and flourishing of every community we share this town with.
